Tottenham defender on the radar of AC Milan

Jan Vertonghen news

Milan want Vertonghen

Serie A club AC Milan are reportedly interested in making a summer move for Tottenham centre-back Jan Vertonghen.

The Dutch defender is on the verge of becoming a free agent this summer and looks reluctant to renew his contract with Spurs.

According to Football London, Vertonghen is on the radar of Rosonnerri, who are looking to sign him for free in the summer. Milan also want to use his experience to reinforce their defence next season.

The 32-year-old is gaining interest from Italy of late as Napoli previously expressed their interest in signing him as a measure to replace their centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been watched by a host of top clubs including Spurs.

Jose Mourinho appears keen on strengthening his side’s defence as he reportedly wants Spurs to go for Norwich City defender Ben Godfrey in the summer transfer window.

Besides, RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano is also an option for Spurs as Mourinho himself scouted the French centre-back in the Bundesliga fixture against Bayern Munich.
